“Fashionista” game is all about fashion as you guessed, for sure. This game turns the player into a fashion magazine producer, starting from scratch but apparently with a respectable sum of money. The story develops as you play and at the beginning it can get a little boring. When you start playing the first thing you have to do is to create your own look, as a player. So you’ll choose your hairstyle and your earrings. Clearly, this game is oriented to women since the protagonist is a young girl, so if you’re a man and want to play it, be prepared to a genre change!
After you have created your character, giving it a name, a hairstyle and the earrings, you have to start shopping clothing for your future models. Starting from a city map, which is the starting point for all your activities, you have to go to the mall. There, you’ll be able to select clothing pieces into different categories: bottoms, dresses, accessories, tops, and shoes. You just look around what you like and click on it to buy it. You’d wish that buying was as simple as that, right?
When you finish buying clothing, you have to buy an office. For that, you have to go to the real state office and pick one. At first, only one office is available within your budget. Depending on the office you buy, the members of your staff you can hire. At the beginning you’ll be able to hire just the necessary: one editor, one writer, one photographer, and one model.
Once you have hired your staff, have your office and the clothing, you are ready to assign work to your staff members and let the action begin! So, from the assignment button on your screen you can assign tasks to your staff. When you are done with that you’ll have to design your first magazine cover. To do that, you have to dress up your model using the clothing you’ve bought. When it’s done, just hit the publish button and the first edition of your magazine will be on the streets.
You can check out the business from the statistics button on your screen. There you’ll be able to see your revenues in comparison with your competitors, in the competition analysis chart. According to your incomes will be your expenses in buying new clothing, hiring new staff, buying new offices, and so on. Basically, you have to repeat the sequence described above, over and over again.
